There's nothing worse than trying to concentrate on your work while your stomach is growling. In this article, I'll share some ideas for the perfect brain fuel that I personally enjoy during my homework sessions.

Fruits and Veggies: While I adore fruit, the stickiness and wetness it can leave on your hands can hinder efficiency. Personally, I've found that grapes are the perfect fruit for working sessions due to their bite-sized nature. Similarly, when it comes to veggies, steer clear of cucumber or tomatoes, and opt for baby carrots or celery. It's a good idea to wash or prepare your fruits and veggies in advance, ensuring they are thoroughly dried.

Chips and Popcorn: I try to avoid chips during study sessions as they often make me feel sluggish and leave oils on my fingers that can transfer to devices and papers. Plain popcorn, on the other hand, is my go-to snack for work sessions, as it doesn't leave as much residue on your fingers as cheddar-flavored varieties.

Cereal: When a sweet treat is calling, dry cereal is the perfect snack option while working. I find Fruit Loops and Lucky Charms to be the best cereals to enjoy. Avoid options like Cinnamon Toast Crunch for the same reasons as popcorn; you don't want cinnamon sugar all over your workspace. Also, some cereals like Cocoa Krispies can be challenging to eat with your hands.

Heavier Snacks: When compromising a meal for snacks during study sessions, I lean towards heavier options. Protein bars have become an essential food for me, and I find Quest bars to strike the perfect balance of taste, availability, and cost for day-to-day use. While beef jerky is filling and easy to eat, be mindful of its strong odor, especially if you're studying in public. Though I haven't personally tried Epic protein bars, they are well-liked for those seeking a savory option.

Snacks to Avoid: As mentioned earlier, steer clear of snacks with strong fragrances when studying in public. The goal is to stay focused without distractions, so opt for something handheld, not too crunchy, and efficient. Happy Snacking!
